No fewer than 2000 supporters of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Ikorodu area of Lagos, yesterday decamped to the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

Addressing the party supporters present at the event, state PDP Chairman, Tunji Shelle, who was represented by the Deputy Chairman, Ola Apena, warned new members of the party to be united and shun all anti-party activities.

He also charged them to be focused and avoid all forms of distraction on the “unstoppable movement to the seat of government”.

The party chieftain hailed President Goodluck Jonathan for visiting the royal fathers in the South West, especially in Lagos State, saying, “The visit is a manifestation of the president’s transformation agenda in the area of politics without bitterness”.

He also blasted the opposition for sponsoring the stories that the President went on the tour to lobby the royal fathers to support his 2015 presidential ambition. He said that Nigerians were already fed up with the strategies being employed by APC to discredit Jonathan.
