ezeemo_apcGovernorship candidate of the Progressive Peoples Alliance, PPA, in last November governorship election in Anambra State, Mr Godwin Ezeemo has fulfilled a campaign promise he made to Government Primary School, Ajalli, Orumba South Local Government Area during one of his campaign tours to the area.

Ezeemo, who was in the school to campaign to the people of the area in October last year, prior to the governorship election in November, was worried by the condition of the school, which he said was overgrown by weeds.

“I was not happy when I saw how the place was, and I had told the management of the school that we will provide for them two brush cutters so that the children can learn in a clean environment, and will not labour to keep the place clean.

“Though we did not win the election, we were obligated to keep our word, and that is why we have brought these two brush cutters here. We have also donated a personnel to them who will take care of the equipment and always use it to cut the bushes each time there was need to do so”.

Reacting on behalf of the school, the Head Master, Comrade Ezeohakai Felicia said she is overwhelmed by the gesture of Ezeemo who deemed it fit to come back to the school to fulfill his promise, even though his ambition of becoming the governor failed.

She praised Ezeemo saying his type was very rare, and that what he had done had shown his level of honesty and that if he had been elected governor of Anambra State, he would have followed his manifesto to the word.

The Public Relations Officer of Ajalli Welfare Union, Nigeria, Mr Paulmary Onyejei said that he was not in doubt that if the November election had been fair, Ezeemo would have won the election.

He said there was no question if Ezeemo would have performed because his track record was very well known to the people of the state.

Ezeemo told journalists that the two brush cutters were worth half a million naira.
