Man in police net for raping 7-year-old girl

The police in Enugu State have arrested one Ndidi Uche over the rape of a seven year old girl. The police spokesman in the state, Mr. Ebere Amaraizu told DailyPost that “a report of rape/defilement was made against Ndidi Uche on 19/11/13”. Uche, aged 26, was alleged to have defiled and raped the 7 year-old little girl and a daughter to his neighbour in the same yard at Ezioha Mgbowo in Awgu Local Government Area of Enugu State. The suspect, who reportedly specializes in the sexual assault of minors, “is however helping the police in their investigations”, Amaraizu added. In another development, seven persons have also been arrested for vandalizing cables. The suspects were identified as Emehalu Ikedi of Ebe Town in Udi Local Government Area of Enugu State, Amechi Ani of Abor in Udi local Government Area of Enugu State, Ebuka Ozoemena of Eziagu in Enugu State, Akachukwu Gabriel from Effiom in Abakiliki Ebonyi State, Nwafor Samuel also from Effiom Abakiliki in Ebonyi State, Friday Eze from Ameze in Aninri local Government Area of Enugu State and Ugwudike maxwell from Abor in Udi local Government Area of Enugu State. The suspects were nabbed by the police on Wednesday over their alleged involvement in the vandalization of armoured cables belonging to PRODA company, along Iva Valley, Enugu-9th Mile road Enugu. The security department of PRODA was said to have alerted the police over the crime.
