In what appears to be a successful assassination mission, some unknown gunmen last night shot dead Mr Toyin Hamzat, a former local government Chairman and one-time Special Adviser on Health to Lagos State Governor, Babatunde Fashola.

However, the Ogun State Police command is yet to officially issue a statement on the matter. Relatively, Lagos and Ogun state governments, which are both controlled by the Action Congress of Nigeria have kept sealed lips as at the time of filling this report.

Witnesses say he was killed last night while on his way to his hometown Ajepe ijebu in Ogun state.

DailyPost learnt that the gangs did not remove anything from Hamzat’s car.

We will bring you further details later.
