More Nigerian celebrities are getting their account on popular micro-blogging site, twitter verified. Some days ago, Brymo, Ice Prince and Dencia got their accounts on the site verified.
Some hours ago, top actress, Omotola Ekeinde Jalade got her account on twitter verified. The beautiful actress with more than 70,000 twitter followers joined D’Banj, Genevieve Nnaji, Nneka, Asa and others as Nigerian celebrities that have verified accounts on twitter.
Twitter verifies accounts of public figures on its network due to problems of fake accounts opened in their names. When an account is verified on the site, it carries a blue mark, which is only meant for verified accounts.
By so doing, followers don’t fall victims of others accounts opened to defraud or used by impostors.
