Orodje, Okpe Supreme Council, others approve Karieren’s removal

The Orodje of Okpe Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Major Gen. Felix Mujakperuo (Rtd), members of the Okpe traditional council and other key players in the kingdom at the weekend approved the removal of Mr. Ralph Karieren as President General of Okpe Union Worldwide.

They also described his performance as a setback to the Okpe nation.

Rising from a six hour meeting in Orerokpe , Delta State, the leaders asked Karieren to return the property of the union and the funds in his possession.

Briefing newsmen on the decisions taken at the meeting, Secretary General, Okpe Union Worldwide, Mr. Henry Ebireri said the leaders approved soft
landing for the former president general.

‘The traditional ruler and others preferred that Karierem should be allowed to resign. They suggested a situation where he will silently be given a
soft-landing by easing him out of the position after writing a letter of resignation. They don’t want a situation where he will not be able to get appointment in future or do business with people.’

The union’s scribe also thanked the monarch for providing the leadership a platform and opportunity to educate the people on the activities of the union and the character of those who aspire to rule over the rest of us.

Members of Okpe Union Worldwide from the four ruling houses in Okpe Kingdom in December removed Karieren, for alleged abuse of office. The union also disqualified him from future office.

The meeting held at the palace of His Royal Majesty was called to douse the tension arising from the impeachment of Karieren as well as appraise the
union’s role as an agent of development.
